VP Tsinghua University Visit Tsinghua SEA in Bali

The delegation was warmly received by Nimas Mega, Executive Director of TSEA, who opened the program with a welcoming address. This was followed by a presentation titled “Tsinghua SEA at a Glance,” providing an overview of the Center’s vision, milestones, and key initiatives in the region. The session underscored TSEA’s role in fostering interdisciplinary learning, innovation, and sustainable development in Southeast Asia.

Following the presentation, the delegation embarked on a Campus and Museum Tour, gaining deeper insight into the center’s infrastructure, academic programs, and cultural foundation. This was followed by a session led by Wendy Tan, Deputy Chief of Business Development & Chief Marketing Officer of Kura Kura Bali, who introduced the Kura Kura Bali Project — a visionary initiative integrating education, sustainability, and urban development on the island.

The day continued with an Island Tour, where the delegation visited several key sites including the Cove Pavilion, Three Mountains, ACS School, and Eco Tent, showcasing the blend of ecological mindfulness and educational ambition embedded within the Kura Kura Bali concept. One of the most memorable moments of the visit was the turtle release activity at Surf Surf by the Waves, symbolizing harmony with nature and long-term commitment to conservation.
